Delete your data
Last updated 2026-09-20
You can request deletion of your Human ID data. The deletion process removes records, not just their public visibility. A failed or interrupted request is not confirmation of complete deletion.
What gets deleted
- Your Human ID record — the linked profile URLs, platform, handle and check history
- The rendered image of your card
- Your session data — the draft card, connected accounts, wallet address and owner credentials
Delete it now
Sign in as the Human ID's owner, or use the original browser session for an unclaimed draft. The server verifies ownership before deletion starts.
Only the owner of a Human ID can delete it. A request that cannot prove ownership deletes nothing — not even partly.
If you are not in that browser any more, open a private deletion case. Save its receipt, then email us. We verify ownership separately before deleting anything; opening a case never deletes data.
Check a deletion case
Enter the receipt you saved to see whether ownership verification is complete.
If you connected an Instagram account
Removing xHuman from your Instagram account withdraws our access. Data we derived from that connection is deleted within 90 days of the withdrawal. The deletion control above lets you request removal now; check its result and retry or contact us if deletion is incomplete.
Automatic cleanup status
Automatic cleanup is not enabled. The 90-day platform-withdrawal commitment remains in place, but the automated withdrawal-to-deletion path has not been verified end to end. Please use the deletion control or contact us for manual handling; do not assume that withdrawing access alone has completed deletion.
The planned lifecycle rules are separate: an unclaimed draft expires after 24 hours; a previously verified profile connection that is confirmed lost starts a 30-day observation period. A provider outage is not proof that a connection was withdrawn. Neither clock replaces the 90-day commitment.
What we cannot delete
New deletions leave a private keyed-hash marker that permanently reserves the erased name against reassignment; it contains no card content. Older markers require a separate retention migration. Name-only recovery is not yet enabled, and old deletion markers cannot establish who owned a name.
Anything already copied elsewhere. A public page may have been archived, cached or screenshotted by someone else while it was public, and we have no way to reach those copies.
